A19 crash near Thirsk leaves passengers seriously injured
Police seek witnesses for road incident late on Wednesday 1st July
Police are asking for witnesses and video evidence after a serious crash on the A19 southbound near the Knayton junction in which two people were seriously hurt.
The incident occurred at approximately 11pm on Wednesday 1st July .
Both passengers in the vehicle are in hospital with severe injuries.
The driver has been arrested but currently remains under investigation.
The road was closed for eight hours to investigate the scene and retrieve the damaged vehicle.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, saw the vehicle before the crash, or has relevant dashcam footage, to contact them.
