Young girl injured in Bolton following serious dog attack

Two arrests have been made and two dogs have been detained

Emergency services rushed to Roseneath Road in Bolton shortly before 3.30pm yesterday (4 February) following reports of a dog attack.

A 10-year-old girl has been hospitalised with serious injuries, which are believed to be life-changing.

Armed Response Vehicles and the GMP Dog Unit were deployed to manage the situation.

Two dogs were detained at the scene.

Police have arrested a 28-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of possessing a dog dangerously out of control.

Both are currently held in custody for questioning.

Officers remain in the area to conduct further enquiries and offer reassurance to residents.
