Yorkshire County Cricket Club has confirmed the signing of Netherlands international and all-rounder Logan van Beek for the upcoming season.

Van Beek, who was born in New Zealand, will be part of Yorkshire’s squad for the first eight County Championship games and the initial half of the T20 Blast.

The 35-year-old is no stranger to English cricket, having previously played for Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Worcestershire.

During his time at Leicestershire in 2025, van Beek took 34 wickets and delivered valuable performances with the bat, including an unbeaten 82, helping the team secure promotion to Division One alongside Yorkshire.

His name made headlines globally in 2023 when he smashed 30 runs in a super over against the West Indies during a World Cup Qualifier.

“I’m delighted to be arriving at Headingley in what is a crucial block of fixtures,” van Beek said.

“It’s so important that we start the season positively, and I’m raring to go. Yorkshire are on an upward trajectory and the opportunity to work with the coaches and the team is one that really excites me.”

Gavin Hamilton, Yorkshire’s General Manager of Cricket, said:

“Logan is a player with international experience who adds huge value with both bat and ball,” Hamilton said."

“Such experience is always important, but can be even more vital in the early stages of any season. His track record in the County Championship is also proven.

“We’re also delighted that he will be remaining with us for the first part of the Vitality Blast. Logan has a great attitude, and I know he will be a superb fit within our squad this year.”
