Witness appeal after serious collision between e-bike and moped in Bradford
Two men arrested as officers investigate crash that left 22-year-old cyclist with serious injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Bradford that left a cyclist with significant injuries.
Emergency services were called to Great Horton Road at approximately 2.17pm on Thursday, 19 June, after reports of a collision involving an electric-assisted pedal cycle and a moped.
According to police, the moped rider failed to stop at the scene following the crash.
The cyclist, a 22-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
As part of the ongoing investigation, two men aged 22 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Both remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
Officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision and are particularly keen to trace the moped involved, which is believed to be a Sinnis Shuttle model.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or saw the moped before or after the collision is urged to contact police as investigations continue.
