Three people have been seriously injured following a crash between a car and a lorry on the Leeds Ring Road near the White Rose Shopping Centre.

Police were called at 12.25pm on Wednesday (November 26) after reports of a crash involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a white MAN HGV.

The Astra had been travelling towards Leeds when it was involved in the collision with the lorry, which was driving on the opposite carriageway.

Two men aged 30 and 28, and a 25-year-old woman in the Astra were taken to hospital with serious injuries. All three are in a stable condition.

The driver of the goods vehicle stopped at the scene and has been helping police.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact them.
