West Yorkshire sex offender has sentence increased after further conviction
John Davies was already serving an 18 year prison term, which was handed to him in 2021.
A West Yorkshire sex offender has had his 18 year prison sentence lengthened by a further eight years - after another conviction.
62 year old John Davies, formerly of Sowerby Bridge, was previously imprisoned in 2021 for sexual offences against four children.
He was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court last Friday for multiple indecent assaults and sexual assaults against six other children between 1989 and 2018.
He was also handed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and will be on the sex offenders register for life, following the 2021 case.
Detective Constable Jonathan Holmes, of West Yorkshire Police said:
“I would like to commend the victims for their bravery in coming forward and reporting Davies’ offences to our officers."
"This has been a lengthy investigation, and I hope this outcome will finally bring them some closure and comfort.
“Victims of sexual assault are encouraged to come forward and report offences regardless of when they occurred.
"All reports will be investigated thoroughly by our specially trained officers who will support you and work with partners to bring perpetrators to justice.”
