A West Yorkshire man has been jailed for more than five years for sexual offences against three children.

Aaron Grimshaw, 23, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison at Bradford Crown Court.

Grimshaw engaged in sexual conversations online with children through social media.

Police seized his phone after his arrest and retrieved evidence of the inappropriate chats.

He was later convicted of sexual assault on a female, engaging in sexual activity with a child, sexual communication with a child, and making indecent photographs of a child.

Grimshaw was also placed on the sex offenders register and given a sexual harm prevention order.

DC Emma Moist of West Yorkshire Police said:

“Grimshaw’s sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions.

“Sexual communication with a child can cause significant harm to young people and their families.

“We remain committed to protecting children, supporting victims and bringing offenders to justice.

“We take all reports of this nature seriously and will investigate thoroughly."
