A busy summer means that supplies of blood are running low - according to the NHS in Bradford.

They've issued a call for more O Negative and B Negative donors to come forward.

They're also short on supplies from people of black heritage to help treat patients with sickle cell.

O Negative is the blood type used for emergencies like accidents and childbirth, so is always in high demand.

There are NHS Donor centres in Bradford and Leeds, with community donor sessions run across West Yorkshire.
