Police investigate two separate knife-related incidents in Leeds

The first happened in Chapel Allerton and the second was in Hunslet

Detectives in Leeds would like to speak to anyone who has information about an affray incident involving males carrying weapons near to Monet Close, Chapel Allerton yesterday (Thursday 22nd May).

Officers were called at about 1.40pm by the ambulance service who were treating two males who had been stabbed.

Both were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The two males, both aged 16, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in custody.

A cordon remains in place at this time and local officers are also increasing patrols in the area for reassurance.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating an assault in Hunslet yesterday evening.

Shortly after 5pm it was reported that two males with bladed weapons attacked a man in the rear garden of The New Bay Horse on Woodhouse Hill.

The suspects then left the scene on electric motorbikes.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with injuries to his back and arm which were not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident is being treated as a targeted attack.
