Two men charged after vigilante incidents in Leeds
Alleged sex offenders' details posted online sparking disorder
Two men have been charged following a series of vigilante incidents in Leeds, where alleged sex offenders' details were posted online leading to public disorder.
Darren Cosgrove, 47, from Seacroft, and Jack Clarkson, 35, from Wetherby, face charges of violent disorder, stalking, and public nuisance.
These charges are connected to five separate incidents that occurred between 12th July and 4th August across the Leeds District.
The two men appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on 7th August and have been remanded in custody.
They are scheduled to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 4th September.
West Yorkshire Police have made clear their stance that violence and criminal damage will not be tolerated, and they will take action against those involved in such behaviour.
