The family of a man who was hit and killed by a car in Bradford have paid tribute, as investigations into his death continue.

45 year old Eugen Matta was struck by a black Cupra Leon on Killinghall Road at around 8:50pm on September 3.

In their tribute, a family member wrote: "My uncle wasn’t just family — he was a guide, a friend, and someone who made the world brighter just by being in it.

“He had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. His kindness was quiet but constant, his strength steady, and his laugh something we will all miss deeply.”

Two women who were inside the Cupra, aged 19 and 47, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
