Three men have been injured after reports of violent disorder in Dewsbury
A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital and is being treated for a serious head injury
A man's suffered a serious head injury after reports of a number of men fighting with weapons including sticks and bars in Dewsbury.
Police were called to reports of violent disorder on Northstead last night after 11pm (Thursday 13th November).
Two other men received facial injuries which are not thought to be serious.
A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for a serious head injury and remains there today in what is described as a critical condition.
Eight men have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Kirklees CID are conducting extensive enquiries today and are appealing for witnesses and information as enquiries continue into the violent disorder incident on Northstead in Dewsbury
Detective Inspector Divek Ubhi of Kirklees CID, said:
“The fighting has left a 21-year-old man with very serious injuries and we are working to establish the full circumstances of what took place and bring everyone involved to justice.
“A number of men remain in custody on suspicion of violent disorder and we are appealing to anyone who can assist our investigation in any way, particularly with footage of the fighting, to come forwards.
