Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run crash near Bradford which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

The collision happened at around 8.10am yesterday morning, with a dark blue Audi S3 hitting a pedestrian in his 40s as he was crossing the road.

The driver fled in the direction of Bradford without stopping at the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with head and arm injuries that are serious but not considered life-threatening.

Witnesses are being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
