Three teenagers arrested after police officer hit by brick in Leeds

Three teenage boys have been arrested after an officer was injured by a brick thrown through the window of an unmarked police car.

West Yorkshire Police said the officer suffered serious facial injuries during the incident in the Halton Moor area of Leeds on Monday.

Three males - aged 15, 16 and 17 - were arrested on Thursday night on suspicion of wounding with intent and criminal damage in relation to the incident in Coronation Parade at about 6pm.

A force spokesperson said: "The youths remain in custody and detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to progress the investigation."
