Teenager in hospital after crash between a motorbike and a car in Bradford
A teenager's in hospital with a serious leg injury after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Bradford.
It happened at the junction of Moorside Road and Harrogate Road yesterday afternoon - police say the bike had been spotted just before the crash but didn't stop for officers.
Both seventeen-year-old boys on the bike were arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, dangerous driving and other offences.
A Police statement said: "We are appealing for witnesses and any available footage following a collision in Bradford yesterday afternoon.
"Officers attended at the junction of Moorside Road and Harrogate Road in Bradford at 3.47pm following a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
"A 17-year-old teenager on the bike suffered a serious leg injury in the incident while another 17-year-old boy on the bike suffered more minor injuries.
"The bike itself had been sighted by police just prior to the incident and had failed to stop for officers.
"Both teenagers were taken to hospital and were arrested on suspicion of offences including theft of motor vehicle, failing to stop for officers and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. One of the teenagers was also further arrested for assaulting a police officer.
"One of the 17-year-olds remains in hospital while the other has since been discharged, interviewed by officers and released under investigation."
