Robber jailed after threatening man with scissors in Wakefield
The victim was also punched, before having phones and bank cards taken
A South Elmsall man has been jailed for three years - after a robbery during which he threatened someone with a pair of scissors.
43 year old Billy John Moore, formerly of Cambridge Street, admitted to a charge of robbery at Leeds Crown Court.
It follows an incident on Sawley Close in Wakefield on January 6, during which a man was threatened and punched, before having phones and bank cards taken.
PC Natalie Carr, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “Moore subjected his victim to a terrifying ordeal, threatening him with a bladed item and punching him before stealing the mobile phones and bank cards.
“I’m pleased that the court has given him a sentence that reflects the severity of this offence.”
