Six people charged with historical child sexual offences in Bradford

Detectives investigating non-recent sexual offences in Bradford have charged five men and one woman

The victim was aged between 13 and 17 when she was allegedly abused in Bradford and Keighley, between 2000 and 2004.

Those charged are:

Mohammed Hafeez Bashir, 51, from Lidget Green, charged with six counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault on a child.

Ahmed Mahmood Butt, 49, from Girlington, charged with attempted rape of a child.

Elaine Ayrey, 62, from Manningham, charged with indecent assault on a child.

Tanveer Ahmed, 46, from Burley, charged with two counts of rape of a child.

Khalid Raja Mahmood, 45, of no fixed abode, charged with rape of a child.

Faiser Hussain, 42, from Keighley, charged with indecent assault on a child.

All six are set to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on September 2 2026.
