A man who was shot in the head in Bradford earlier this month has died in hospital with police now treating the case as murder.
28 year old Mohammed Hasan was fatally injured at around 11pm on July 8, with police called to reports of shots being fired on Gaythorne Road at the junction of Parsonage Road, West Bowling.
In a tribute Mohammed's family wrote: “Hasan was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He would go out of his way to help other people. He was the life and soul of every room he’d walk into.
“He will be missed by all his family and the community.
“Life is often overlooked and communities need to come together to make sure nothing like this happens again.
“The family urge anyone who has any information to provide this to West Yorkshire Police.”
Nine people have been arrested so far, with eight released on bail.
21 year old Hasnain Akhter of Tichborne Road was charged with attempted murder last week and remanded.
Police are still looking for 24 year old Bradford man Luqman Khan, who is thought to be in the Ipswich or Felixstowe areas of Suffolk.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Dan Bates, of West Yorkshire Police, said: said: “Sadly, Mohammed Hasan was left with unsurvivable injuries from this horrific act of violence."
"We are determined to get justice for him and his family and need people to put aside any misplaced loyalties and think about how they would feel if it was their husband, their son, their brother.
“I would like to personally thank those who have already come forward with information. We continue to urge anyone who has information about Luqman Khan’s whereabouts or who has any other information about what has taken place and those involved to please report it.”
