There are knock-on delays on some train services across West Yorkshire, after a level crossing crash blocked the line at Castleford earlier.

Police were called to reports a car had hit two other vehicles on Albion Street at around 10am this morning.

The occupants of the vehicle involved fled the scene.

Northern warned earlier that services heading in the direction of Castleford were facing delays or cancellation.

However the issue has now been resolved and the line is back open.
