Pontefract man jailed over conspiracy to import £720,000 of cannabis resin
He drove cannabis resin into the UK on his motorhome
A Pontefract man has been jailed over a conspiracy to bring around three quarters of a million pounds worth of drugs into the UK.
47 year old Christopher Sale, of West Avenue in South Elmsall, will spend four years and nine months behind bars for his role in bringing a large amout of cannabis resin into the country.
Sale was a co-conspirator of dealer Russell King, who received a 22-year sentence in 2025.
He drove a motorhome with the drugs inside from mainland Europe on multiple occasions.
In July 2024, Sale and King used compartments within a Fiat motorhome to hide two holdalls containing the Class B drug, crossing from Rotterdam to Hull via ferry.
Further investigation revealed King also used the motorhome to import 100kg of ketamine later in 2024, and orchestrated the importation of 632 kilos of ketamine in July 2023, also from mainland Europe.
