Police seek witnesses after pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Leeds collision
Taxi driver arrested following late-night incident
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses following a collision in Leeds that left a pedestrian in his 70s with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on 10th July at the junction of King Street and York Place.
Officers were alerted by the ambulance service after the pedestrian was struck by a black Ford Tourneo taxi that was turning from York Place onto King Street.
The injured man was swiftly transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Following the collision, the taxi driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Authorities are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or has information that could aid their ongoing enquiry.
Witnesses or those with dashcam footage of the area at the time of the incident are encouraged to come forward and assist the investigation.
