A man has suffered life threatening injuries after a crash involving a HGV and a pedestrian in Normanton this afternoon.

Police were called to Loscoe Lane at around 12:30pm, closing the road between Normanton Bypass and Sewerbridge Lane.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are continuing.
