Body found in search for missing woman in Apperley Bridge
Jane Hiles has been missing since last month
Police searching for a missing woman from Apperley Bridge say they've found a body.
52 year old Jane Hiles hadn't been seen since February 24, with searches previously focusing on the River Aire.
Now underwater search teams say they've found a body at Kirkstall thought to be Jane.
Formal identification is yet to take place but her family have been told.
Detective Inspector Andy Queen of West Yorkshire Police said:
“Extensive enquiries have been ongoing over the last few weeks to find Jane and sadly officers have found a body believed to be her.
“Specially trained officers are continuing to support her family at this difficult time.
“We would like to thank the public who shared the appeal to find her.”
