A man who died in a crash in Meltham has been named as Peter Brewin.

The 60-year-old died at the scene of the incident, which happened on Meltham Mills Road at around 2pm on Friday 21st November.

The crash involved a grey Skoda Fabia and two pedestrians. Another person, a woman, was injured in the incident.

Peter Brewin’s loved ones have released a tribute, describing him as a caring and active family man.

"Peter was looking forward to a long and active retirement, after having stopped work in April 2025. He loved walking, cycling, and camping with his partner, was a regular at Huddersfield Parkrun, and played 5-a-side football. He was also fond of a beer and a chat at the bar of the Monkey Club in Armitage Bridge and helped with running the club."

"Peter could fix anything and would give his time and help to anyone, he is so missed. He loved his family very much; he leaves behind his partner of 37 years, son, brother, and parents. We cannot express in words our devastation at losing him."
