Leeds pair charged over illegal knife sales via social media

A man and woman from Leeds have appeared in court facing charged with illegally selling and marketing of knives through social media.
Irmann Ali and Ruqayya Hussain, both 20 and of College Drive in Horsforth, were charged following a police operation targeting illegal knife sales linked to county lines drug dealing in West Yorkshire.
Ali and Hussain were charged with selling a flick knife and marketing a combat knife, in violation of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and Knives Act 1997.
The pair appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court last Thursday and are due for a further hearing at the same court on November 16.
