Police name man who died in Leeds bus stop crash

The 62-year-old was fatally injured when a car crashed into a bus stop on Stanningley Road on Monday (November 20)

A man who died after a car crashed into a bus stop in Leeds has been named as 62-year-old Terence Russell.

Tributes have been paid to Mr. Russell, known as Terry, with his close friend Joanne saying: "Goodnight and god bless, rest in peace Tezza. You're loved very much"

The driver of the black Mitsubishi Shogun was arrested on Monday 20 November, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 57-year-old has since been bailed.

Police are continuing to ask to speak to any witnesses.
