Man found with multiple stab wounds in Almondbury

The incident is being treated as attempted murder

At 4:51am this morning (Saturday, 1 March), officers attended the scene on Almondbury Bank, Huddersfield. The man was found in a vehicle after sustaining multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital, where his condition is believed to be stable.

Police officers had previously attended the same scene a short time before this incident, following a report of a concern for safety. The officers took female to a place of safety.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire police said:

“We are treating this incident as attempt murder and as a targeted attack. We have a scene in place and have significant enquiries ongoing to ensure the person or persons responsible are arrested and brought to justice."
