Man due in court charged with Leeds murder

A man is due in court today after the death of a woman in Leeds.

58 year old Tracey Davenport was found dead at Cottingley Towers on Friday evening.

Colin Mann, who's 52, has been charged with murder.

A Police statement said: "A man will appear before magistrates today charged with the murder of a woman in Leeds.

"Colin Mann, aged 52 of Cottingley Towers, who self defines as white, British, will appear before this morning’s session of Leeds Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of Tracy Davenport aged 58.

"Mann was detained in police custody after being charged with the murder of Tracy at a flat in Cottingley Towers during the evening of Friday 24 July.

"Her family continues to be supported by specially trained officers and enquires into the murder remain ongoing by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team."
