Man dies after going into Bradford reservoir

An investigation is underway after a man died after going into a Bradford reservoir.

Police say they aren't treating the death as suspicious.

A Police statement said:

"Emergency services were called to Chellow Dene Reservoirs, Bradford, at 4:34pm yesterday (29/6) following reports that a man had gone into the water and not re-emerged.

"A brief search took place and a short time later the body of a man was recovered from the reservoir.

"Police are not treating the death as suspicious. The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers. Enquiries remain ongoing on behalf of the West Yorkshire Coroner."
