Man arrested on suspicion of raping 16-year-old girl on Leeds Dock
A 25-year-old is being questioned by police in Leeds
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape, following reports of a serious sexual assault on a teenage girl on Leeds Dock.
Police believe a 16-year-old girl was attacked in the early hours of Monday morning (November 20).
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: "A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the rape of a 16-year-old girl in relation to an incident next to the River Aire at Leeds Dock in the early hours of yesterday morning.
"The man remains in custody and detectives from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit are carrying out enquiries into the incident."
