Arrest made over death of Lamduan Armitage
Her body was found in the Yorkshire Dales in 2004 but unidentified for fifteen years
A man's been arrested by police investigating the death of a woman who officers were unable to identify for fifteen years.
Walkers at Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales found the remains in a stream in 2004, but despite extensive investigations detectives were not able to work out who she was.
A breakthrough was made in 2019 when media coverage of the case, which became known as the "Lady of the Hills", got to her native Thailand and family got in touch to say they believed it was Lamduan Armitage.
Her British husband David - who's always denied any involvement with his wife's killing - was last week detained in Thailand where he's been living since her death on an immigration matter.
North Yorkshire Police said they'd look to speak to him should he return to the UK.
The force has today confirmed it's speaking to a man aged 61, but have not given any further details and are discouraging people from speculating about the case on social media.
