A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found seriously injured in Leeds.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address yesterday in Woodhouse.
A Police spokesperson said:
"At 9.01pm yesterday (Thursday), police received a report of a disturbance at an address in Melville Gardens in the Woodhouse area of Leeds.
"Officers attended and found a woman aged 62 with serious injuries.
"She received urgent medical attention at the scene, but was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later.
"A man aged 56 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and was taken into custody.
"This is being treated as an isolated incident and police are currently not looking for anyone else in connection with the death."
