Police launch witness appeal following burglary in Liversedge

West Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with information to come forward

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary of a house in Liversedge.

Officers were alerted to the property on Rydale Court in the early hours of December 27th, 2024.

When responders arrived, they found the homeowners had stayed inside the house after calling the police while the burglary was taking place.

The incident took place at around 2:40am when the owners of the house were woken by their security alarm.

As they investigated the property, they found the thieves had broke into the house, but had left the building empty-handed.

Following lines of enquiry, it was revealed that the suspects had been stood in the driveway - close to the victim's car - at around 3:01am, wearing a "big coat".

Police are now asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the burglary, or those who may have CCTV of the incident, to get in touch as soon as possible.
