Daniel Farke predicts Saturday’s visit of relegation-threatened Wolves will be “the most difficult” of games following his side’s stunning win at Manchester United five days earlier.

Leeds can take a huge step towards Premier League safety by moving nine points clear of the bottom three before relegation rivals Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Tottenham are in action.

Wolves will be relegated if they lose at Elland Road and other results this weekend go against them and Farke is determined not to let his players’ levels drop after Monday night’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Farke said: “It was great to send our supporters back from Old Trafford with such an amazing win, but as a group we have already put a line under it and are already focusing on the next task.

“It’s not too difficult because we are aware that each and every game at this level is difficult and we’re full of respect for what (head coach) Rob (Edwards) has done, bringing more stability to their performances and results.

“We know how difficult this game will be, especially because after such an amazing win (at United), then a home game against a side who is not in the best position in the table, expectation is unbelievably high and these games are the most difficult.

“If you have a deeper look into the performances and results of Wolves, there is no reason not to stay humble and think it will be, in any aspect, an easy game.”

Wolves recently secured back-to-back wins against Aston Villa and Liverpool and Farke added his players must be “switched on for every second, from the first to the 90-plus minutes, to be ready and focused and concentrated”.
