Daniel Farke insists emotion will play no part in his side’s final game of the season on Sunday at relegation-threatened West Ham.

Leeds sealed Premier League survival in their first season back with three games to spare, while the Hammers must win and hope Tottenham lose their last game at home against Everton to stay up.

Farke said: “After a fantastic season, we want the best finish, a good performance, good result. Every position in the table counts. We’re hungry to extend our (eight-match) unbeaten run, to finish in style and if possible with three points.”

The Hammers are on the brink of relegation after a 14-year stay in the top flight and nothing less than victory and defeat for Tottenham will save them.

“You feel for colleagues, you don’t want teams to lose, but you want to win,” Farke added. “We are focused on ourselves, for us and our supporters to get the best result.

“We’re not responsible for where a different team finishes, but you still have empathy for colleagues in such positions.”

Farke faces a midfield crisis as Leeds aim to hit the 50-point mark, with Anton Stach (ankle), Sean Longstaff (hernia surgery) and Ilia Gruev (knee) all ruled out.

Gabriel Gudmundsson (hamstring) and Noah Okafor (calf) also remain sidelined, while Pascal Struijk and Jayden Bogle are hopeful of returning to contention as both have returned to team training.
