Leeds United dealt double injury blow as both Stach and Longstaff ruled out for City game
Leeds dropped into the relegation zone last weekend after losing five of their last six matches
Daniel Farke has been dealt a double injury blow with Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff both ruled out of Saturday's Premier League game at Manchester City.
Leeds dropped into the relegation zone last weekend after losing five of their last six matches and the injury setback before the trip to the Etihad Stadium has been compounded by news Longstaff could be sidelined for six weeks.
The former Newcastle midfielder sustained a calf injury in last Sunday's 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa, while Stach suffered concussion in the build-up to Leeds' first-half opener.
Farke said: "Anton Stach will definitely miss the game due to following the concussion protocol. If everything goes smoothly he'll just be allowed to return to team training on Sunday.
"Sadly Sean Longstaff will also miss the game. He's out with a calf injury. He suffered this in the last game, it's not good news, four to six weeks. We'll miss him for a while."
Farke has come under increasing pressure after his side have collected just four points from their last seven matches and the loss of two summer signings will put further strain on his struggling squad.
"Two key players in top shape for us and it's a bit tricky," Farke added. "But once a player isn't available I don't want to complain too much.
"Right now, it's a chance for other players and they have my backing. We have to add quality and I'm confident we can even without Sean or Anton. Others will get the chance and I will back them. I'm sure they will deliver a good performance."
