Farke: Five points from three games for Leeds United 'massive'
Following an opening 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest and a 1-1 home draw with Brentford, the West Yorkshire club moved on to five points from three games with Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton.
Daniel Farke wants Leeds to maintain the culture that has helped them make an unbeaten start to their second season back in the Premier League.
Following an opening 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest and a 1-1 home draw with Brentford, the West Yorkshire club moved on to five points from three games with Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton.
Jayden Bogle put Leeds ahead at the Amex Stadium before Seagulls defender Luka Vuskovic equalised in the 71st minute.
“Five points after these three difficult games, two away games, is massive for us,” said manager Farke. “Each with a good performance, so it helps with the mood and the confidence.
“It’s difficult in the best league in the world to be a good side who is difficult to be beaten who can take also the games on.
“It’s good to have this culture within our club and long may it continue.”
Leeds, who finished 14th last term after winning promotion, have a dismal recent record at Brighton. Bogle’s 15th-minute finish was the Whites’ first goal away to the Seagulls since 2012, while they have now drawn four and lost seven of their last 11 visits dating back to 2009.
Leeds travel to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday before returning to league action at home to Newcastle next Monday.
