Leeds United sign Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemovic, replacing Pascal Struijk
Its Whites second signing of the summer
Leeds United have confirmed their second signing of the summer window, with the capture of Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemović from Serie A side Sassuolo.
The 23 year old is fresh off representing his home country at the 2026 World Cup.
He has penned a five year deal for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £34m,
Leeds sold versatile defender Pascal Struijk to Brighton for £20m last month and Muharemovic would be a direct replacement.
Muharemovic started three games for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup and was sent off in their 4-1 group-stage defeat to Switzerland.
He was also fouled by Folarin Balogun in the last-32 defeat to the United States, which led to the American striker being sent off before his suspension was controversially suspended.
Muharemovic made 32 appearances for Sassuolo in Serie A last season having joined them in July 2025 from Juventus, where he failed to break into the first team.
