CCTV appeal after four sexual assaults reported in Leeds

Police are investigating linked offences in both Harehills and Gipton

Police have released CCTV images and footage of a man they're looking for in connection with four sexual assaults in Leeds over recent weeks.

All of the incidents targeted women in the Harehills and Gipton areas.

The first happened on Berkley Road at around 5.30pm on Monday, November 17.

A man approached a woman from behind while she walked along the street, sexually assaulted her, and then ran away.

Two further incidents happened on Monday, December 8. The first at 11.35am on Hill Top Mount, followed by another at 1pm on Amberton Road in Gipton.

In both cases, female victims were approached by a man who sexually assaulted them before fleeing the scene.

The most recent assault took place on Monday (December 22) at around 11.40am on Back Hill Top Avenue in Harehills. A woman was again approached from behind, sexually assaulted, and the suspect ran away.

Officers believe the incidents are linked.

The man involved in the attacks has been described as short, Asian, and wearing dark clothing. In one incident, he was reportedly wearing a long, black baggy coat, and in another, a navy-blue puffer jacket.
