A convicted drug dealer from Leeds has been ordered to repay almost £400,000 in ill gotten gains.

Curtis Clark, 25, must pay the sum within three months or face an additional four years in prison.

He's been ordered to hand the money over at a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) hearing at Leeds Crown Court.

Clark was sentenced to 65 months’ imprisonment in August 2025 after pleading guilty to involvement in the supply of Class A and B drugs and money laundering.

He was linked to a crime group responsible for selling large amounts of drugs across Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Following his arrest, authorities executed search warrants at Clark’s home in Whitkirk and other properties under his control.

Police recovered over £270k in cash, two cars, designer clothing, and three Rolex watches valued at £100k.

Detective Inspector Alastair Nicholls of West Yorkshire Police said:

“Organised criminality is a blight on our communities, with individuals like Curtis preying on the vulnerability of others for their own gain."

“This POCA hearing has ensured that on his release from prison, he will not be returning to that lifestyle. Instead, his assets will be sold and the money recovered will go towards projects to disrupt criminality and build communities."

“I hope this action sends the message that if you are profiting from crime then we will not only look to arrest and charge you, but we will also use all available powers to strip you of any wealth you have gained from your illegal activities.”

The funds recovered will be reinvested into community initiatives aimed at combating crime.
