Keighley man handed 18 year sentence for sexual offences against children
The offences took place in the Castleford area between 2015 and 2021, with the victims coming forward to police in 2022.

A Keighley man has been jailed for 18 years for committing sexual offences against two children.
68 year old Barry Riley was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court today after being found guilty of seventeen different offences, including rape, assault by touching, and causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The offences took place in the Castleford area between 2015 and 2021, with the victims coming forward to police in 2022.
Riley, of Green End Road, has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and also issued a lifetime restraining order.
Detective Sergeant Katie Nutton, of West Yorkshire Police said:
“I would like to praise the victims for their courage in reporting Riley’s crimes. I hope this outcome will give them some closure and allow them to move forward with their lives."
“I also hope it will encourage other victims of sexual abuse to come forward and report it to our specially trained officers, who will provide support throughout the process.”
