Kaiser Chiefs to headline Halifax's Piece Hall next summer
Leeds indie band return to the historic venue for the first time since 2021
Kaiser Chiefs are set to return to West Yorkshire for an open-air concert at The Piece Hall in Halifax next summer.
The Leeds indie band will headline Live at The Piece Hall on Friday 4th June 2027.
It will be their first appearance at the venue since 2021, when they played two sold-out nights there.
Tickets go on sale on Friday.
The band's line-up is Ricky Wilson on vocals, Simon Rix on bass, Andrew 'Whitey' White on guitar, Nick 'Peanut' Baines on keyboards and Vijay Mistry on drums.
Formed in 2000, Kaiser Chiefs are known for anthemic hits including Oh My God, I Predict A Riot, Everyday I Love You Less and Less, Ruby, Never Miss A Beat and Hole In My Soul.
They have released eight studio albums, among them their Mercury-nominated debut Employment, which sold more than two million copies, its Number 1 follow-up Yours Truly, Angry Mob, which went twice-platinum in the UK, and Education Education Education and War, which also entered the UK Album Charts at Number 1.
The band have had top ten singles including the Number 1 hit Ruby, won three BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello for Album of the Year, toured with U2, Foo Fighters and Green Day, and sold eight million albums.
Nicky Chance-Thompson, chief executive of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said the venue has grown significantly since the band's last visit.
"I cannot wait to welcome back these true Yorkshire legends and show them just how much Live at The Piece Hall has grown," she said.
"They last played in 2021 when there weren't even ten shows per season. There are now more than forty.
"The stage is bigger, the sound is better, the crowds are larger and louder, combine that with Kaiser Chiefs' immense back catalogue of incredible indie bangers and I predict a riotously good time will be had by one and all!"
