Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt joins Hull City on loan
The 22 year old has had limited time in the Whites squad so far this season
Hull have signed striker Joe Gelhardt on loan from Leeds until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has struggled to force his way into Leeds boss Daniel Farke's first-team plans this season and has made just two substitute appearances in the Sky Bet Championship.
Gelhardt said: "Every footballer wants to train hard all week and get rewarded with playing on the weekend.
"That hasn't happened for me in the last few years so I'm really excited to get playing again and get that matchday feeling back.
"It's a happy moment for me. I've spoken to the manager (Ruben Selles) about the plans and direction the club is going in and I can't wait to get started and get playing."
Liverpool-born Gelhardt began his professional career at Wigan before joining Leeds in 2020 for a reported £1million fee on a four-year contract.
He has made 57 appearances in all competitions for Leeds, including 35 in the Premier League, and spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Sunderland.
