A Huddersfield teenager who committed serious sexual offences against children, when he himself was a child, has been jailed for almost a decade.

18 year old Eshea Sullivan, formerly of York Avenue, carried out the attacks against three girls in Huddersfield and Holmfirth between June 2021 and June last year.

He was convicted of 10 sexual offences including rape, sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration.

He was handed a nine year sentence at Leeds Crown Court yesterday (February 18).

He'll also spend a further five years on extended licence and has been barred from ever contacting his victims.

Sullivan will be on the sex offenders register for life.

Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Constable Jay Laughton, of West Yorkshire Police, said:

“I would like to thank all three victims in this case. Not only have they demonstrated true bravery in coming forward, but they have also ensured that Sullivan has been brought to justice for his predatory behaviour.”

“I hope the lengthy custodial sentence handed down to him by the court will serve as some comfort to them.”

“We have dedicated child safeguarding teams in each district here at West Yorkshire Police and I hope this case demonstrates that we will investigate sexual offences and do take reports seriously.”
