A man has been charged after shots were fired on a residential street in Huddersfield last week.

20 year old Camron Thompson, of Catherine Road, has been before Leeds Magistrates' Court charged with ossession of a firearm with intend to endanger life and a count of sending a communication threatening death or serious harm.

He is also charged with causing criminal damage to a property and handling stolen goods.

It comes after a gun was discharged on Friar Place last Tuesday (July 28). Windows were smashed but nobody was injured.

Three other men aged 18, 19 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and have been bailed or released under investigation.
