Warrington claimed their fifth consecutive Betfred Super League win with a 34-24 victory over Huddersfield Giants at Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Danny Walker replied for the Wire, with Leon Hayes adding the extras to send them in front, and the hosts soon took charge.
In the 28th minute, James Bentley latched onto a quick offload from James Harrison to cross and Sam Powell grounded just two minutes later, with Hayes converting both tries.
Warrington continued to pile on the pressure when George Williams finished off a move down the left flank as they sailed to a 22-4 lead at the break.
After the restart, Halsall scored his second try of the match after holding Adam Clune’s kick to cross, with Flanagan converting, but Arron Lindop replied for Warrington and Hayes scored a penalty to extend their advantage further.
Huddersfield continued to apply pressure as Sam Hewitt’s try was converted and Connor Wrench then struck after touching down in the corner to close the gap.
Warrington were able to wrap up victory in the last 10 minutes when Matty Ashton grounded and Hayes converted, but the Giants continued to battle until the end when when Jacob Gagai crossed for their fifth try of the afternoon in the final minutes.
Asked about the tries conceded in the second half, Warrington head coach Sam Burgess said: “I’m not really bothered about it to be honest. Technically I’m not too worried about anything. I felt that when we needed to be solid defensively, we were solid.
“I’m not too worried about it. I’m just happy the scoreboard was in our favour at the end of the game.”
Huddersfield head coach Jim Lenihan told BBC Radio Leeds: “The start of our game was pretty good – our first 15 to 25 (minutes) was pretty strong. We had a patch there where we had three tries against us in eight minutes and that was disappointing. We played well in parts, but that little section hurt us a little.
“Coming out in the second half, we competed again. We probably had a couple of silly things go against us again that we didn’t get right, but we fought on and tried to go to the end.”
