Leeds United sign Sweden defender Gabriel Gudmundsson from Lille
The 26-year-old left-back has agreed a four-year deal at Elland Road
Leeds have signed Sweden defender Gabriel Gudmundsson from Lille for an undisclosed fee, understood to be £10million.
The 26-year-old left-back, capped 15 times by his country, has agreed a four-year deal at Elland Road after making 45 appearances in all competitions for Lille last season, including nine in the Champions League.
Leeds said: "Leeds United are delighted to announce Gabriel Gudmundsson has joined the club from Lille for an undisclosed fee, subject to a work permit and international clearance."
Gudmundsson, who began his professional career at Halmstads, made over 130 appearances in total for Lille after joining from Dutch side Groningen in 2021.
He is Leeds' fourth summer signing following the earlier arrivals of Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw.
