Former West Yorkshire PC admits multiple counts of misconduct in public office

A former West Yorkshire Police officer has admitted to multiple counts of misconduct in a public office after accessing information on police systems without permission.
31 year old Jenade Yamin, of Shipley, also offered to give someone police patrons.
He resigned from the force in 2023, and admitted to offences which happened between November 2019 and July 2022 at the West Yorkshire Police HQ in Halifax.
Detective Chief Superintendent Tanya Wilkins of the West Yorkshire's Professional Standards Directorate said:
"The conviction of former police officer Yamin for misconduct in public office represents a serious breach of the trust placed in those who serve our communities.
“Honestly and integrity, are vital to protect public confidence and uphold the highest standards of service.
“If PC Yamin hadn’t already resigned from the force, during a previous gross misconduct investigation, he would have been dismissed without notice.
"As such he has already been placed on the College of Policing’s barred list and will never work in policing again.”
