Tributes paid to 'devoted dad' and 'kind and caring brother' killed in Huddersfield crash

A man who died following a motorbike crash in the Fixby area of Huddersfield on Monday has been named as Daniel Backhouse-Dyson.

The 42 year old was on a red Honda which was involved in the incident on the A641 Bradford Road at around 7.40pm on April 20.

In their tribute, Daniel's family wrote: “Daniel was a loving son of Val and Paul Backhouse. A devoted dad to Sonny."

"A kind and caring brother to Gemma, Zoe, Samantha and the late Anna Backhouse and a loving uncle to Shay, Kacey and Annalise.

“Daniel was always full of life and tales of his doings whilst putting the world to rights. As a family we will miss his funny stories and his contagious laugh that will live on through his son.

“He will be dearly missed by us all.”

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
