Three teenagers arrested following assault outside takeaway in Elland

Three teenagers have been arrested following an assault that left a man with facial injuries in Elland.

West Yorkshire Police were alerted to an incident taking place outside a takeaway on Southgate in the town at around 8pm on Thursday evening (October 9th).

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s suffering from injuries to the face after he was assaulted outside the business.

Initial investigations were launched, and after following leads, officers arrested three teenage boys on suspicion of Section 39 assault and attempted grievous bodily harm.

All three boys currently remain in police custody and are being questioned by officers.

Meanwhile police have launched an appeal for information and witnesses, asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch as soon as possible.
